E4od issue

My 92 f250. E4od works fine when I start off,after 15 20 miles when I come to a stop, it will not shift down to first gear tries to start in 3rd. I can manually shift to 1st and it will not engage first gear. I can manually shift it to 2nd. But no first. After it sets a hr works fine again until it warms up.

I switched solenoid packs with a new one. Same issue. Any ideas would be welcomed thanks

Any codes?? Check for them. There could be a pressure issue or a stuck valve in the accumulator body.

Their are several valves sticking in accumulator body we found. Tomorrow I'll remove the main body after we reinstall accumulator body.

Out of curiosity, did you change the fluid recently? Or do the "power flush" thing?

Yes it had started acting up first. I thought solenoid pack so I changed filter and flushed 8 gal through it. It had done a fair amount of heavy pulling this summer
