Sorry to be a post hog.

I now know that my hot side has no leaks, but I want to test my cold side. Suspect that I may have an intake leak.

Home-brewed a leak tester. Hoping to try it out tomorrow.

So a trick we use on the big rigs for testing the entire system, take the inlet off the turbo. Hook up some sort of boot to it that you can run compressed air through it. Run at max 5psi through it. It will be a continuous flow of air, since it's not dead heading anywhere, but doing this you can check your entire intake and exhaust for leaks with soapy water.

The red one! lol

Funny enough; none of them! I had to borrow my wonderful wife’s Willys to go!

My rig is down and I just ran out of time before the trip.

It turned brutal cold here this last two weeks;

It’s usually near 70 in October. Hard to get projects done when it’s freezing!

I hear you!!! I am usually good down to low 30's high 20's if I am ambitious enough. As soon as low to mid 20' arrive, I start thinking about Irish Cream and Coffee cause my dang hands can't handle the cold like they used too.

Mom drew my name for Christmas, bib overalls is on the list!! Carhartt or Berne? Or others...?

I’m hoping that is exactly how this will work. I made it to fit my intake elbow; the canister is open on one end and sealed on the other. I’ll use a short piece of hose between the paint gun regulator and the canister.

I always go with carhartt.

As for your hands, here's something I learned by accident, by first hand experience, (no pun intended), when I was 18.

I was working in Washington state, as a volunteer, helping to move a fishing village. Cold COLD... and WET. I have always had poor circulation, so my hands and feet get cold quickly, anyway. Add the cold and wet, and I was miserable. Could hardly hold a hammer.

Looking for something free to maybe make the day a bit better, I found some peppermint plants outside the kitchen door. Pulled a few 'branches', and laid them on some newspaper on top of the fridge for a couple days. So they weren't quite dried out. Made some tea out of the leaves, and put it in a thermos to take to work.

Discovered that if I drank a bunch of that in the morning, and then drank it during the day instead of coffee, my hands and feet stayed surprisingly much warmer.

I had to go see my junkyard friend today. I needed him to torch a hole through some steel, but while I was there I noticed this FINE old tailgate. I couldn't just leave it there. He was like, "what are you gonna do with that?" I let him know it would match any truck I brought home.

Would make a great bench too.

@Selahdoor

I was already leaning that way!!

Regarding Peppermint Tea, thanks for the tip!! I will try it, but have you experimented with the bags vs fresh.....? Did you have the same results with either one?

I use to climb quite a bit in Index, lovely place!!!

I have my own in-bed camper actually, 1994 Lance, my grandfather bought it brand new back in the day, so I literally know the whole history of it. Not a thing wrong with it!
Let's see it! I love the older campers.

The bags do work. With Bigelow being the best I've found. But they don't work nearly as well as fresh.

I wish I could get the plant to grow where I live. Too many trees or something...

You can always move to Majestic NW Florida like everyone else, we grow stuff year round down here.
