1st problem: Im in the process of installing a push button GP switch and new relay. I cant hear the the click. Ive got power coming from the push button. The relay is getting very hot, but still no click. Whats the red and purple wires for? Do I need to connect one of those too? I must be missing a step somewheres. Next problem: I have a miss. Do I have to pull all the injectors and them tested?

What year truck?
The PCM grounds the relay when it wants to energize the glow plugs. So to make it "push button" you would need to wire the relay ground through the switch and then to ground.
What type of miss? At idle? Under load?
Does it already have the gpr bypassed?
