loose power to fuse box

I have a 1993 f350 manual trans. When I turn the key I lose power at both fuse boxes 1 in the cab and the one under the hood. My first thought is Ignition switch is bad and my next is a fuse-able link somewhere. I don't know a way to test the ignition switch if you all do ill try anything. It worked a couple of months ago but now nothing.

Turn your headlights on. If they work, then watch them while you try to start it. If they go out when you try to start it, most likely it's what the first poster said, a poor connection at the batteries. Or the batteries are bad.
