so after fixing the fuel to bowl metal lines and starting this truck up and letting it run a week or so back i had not needed it til this morning.
I went out and got crank crank no start, 1st thing i checked was GP controller and had no power doing to the GP wire stud so i started checking fuses and found #22 maxi fuse blown up til now it has started fine after all the work i have invested in it.
i noticed #21 was blown as well but thats for trailer hook up, the only thing different i did do was replace i think was the 10amp small fuse for the trailer wiring hookup because i had no power going to by trailer plug.
Is there a way to test the fuse box without popping fuses since these maxi fuses are 3$-5$+ a pc depending on where you get them, i grabbed the last 20 and 30 amp Napa had and cleaned out Carquest lol.
I noticed after finding the fuse box diagram the #22 fuse is to be a 20amp and there was a 30Amp in it. as i said this truck was starting no blown fuses and it had not been touched since i fixed the fuel lines, when i switched out a fuse and put it in the #22 spot once i turned the key my "wait to start" light came on briefly and popped again, this truck did have some rat damage so im wondering that i have a bare wire somewhere..

Thanks for any and all advice...

WTS light when keyed to on? Fuse #22 could be the fuel bowl heater (can't recall exactly) which conveniently also powers the PCM. The heater shorts out and blows the fuse cutting power to the PCM.

The fuel bowl heater is worthless IMO, as I have ran without it down to -20F without issues.

Earlier i did more thinking and looked at what that fuse powered and i saw that on the heater.
After searching i had found your ppst and many many more. I spend i dunno hoe long trying to.get that @$%% plug off the heater, how in the heck?, i am at the point to just cut the damn wire and tape it up..
Cold as heck and while it was warm the heater was not needed so im pretty sure thats my issue the heater..
I pryed and tried screwdrivers etc hoe in the heck do you get that plug off?
Thanks Greenskeeper for your reply.

Found the issue at least seemed to be.. the fuel bowl heater shorting out, snipped that wire and fixed it to where it cannot arc.. in the morning we do another cold start test and see if the truck starts or will remain running..
