Just remember that you aren't going to get a large volume of fuel when you do this.I’ll take one of the upper, easiest to get at lines off of the back of the pump and see if any fuel comes out while the engine is being cranked over.
Thank you. What I’ll be looking for is pressurized fuel, any fuel, leaving the injector pump. It won’t be a lot.Just remember that you aren't going to get a large volume of fuel when you do this.

Found a new solid state controller complete with the pedestal - that’ll be a tomorrow job to test the unit and see if it worksYeah, that's a regular alternator. The solenoid on the side wall is for the starter, the one above the tire is for the glow plugs. I thought it looked like you had the solid state controller but it looks like you have the old style glow plug system like is supposed to be there. It really sucks cleaning up wires!
If your block heater is working, you'll hear it sizzling down there. You must be registered for see images attach
Injector lines removed and they’re soaking in diesel fuel now. Tomorrow I’ll wipe them down and run compressed air through them.
While I wait for these to clean up, I’ll need to hook the glow plug system up.
On a whim, I decided to plug in the engine block heater to see if it works. After a few hours i felt around the block to see if anything was warming up. I didn’t feel any heat, and the laser temp gun didn’t find any heat either.
I’ll want to troubleshoot what’s going on with the block heater, but for now I’m going to focus on the glow plug controller, running a new wiring loom, and then getting the injector lines back on.
Stay tuned for tomorrow, maybe I’ll have the truck running
Hmmm... Can I have that diesel when you're done? We're at a lovely $6.19 over here. Filled my tdi up and it was a cool $105 todayYou must be registered for see images attach
