figured out i have a 4:10 rear, axle code was 65, so no limited slip.
is there a way to tell if its a sterling 10.25 or dana 80.
it is a 96 DRW F350 and what the fluid capacity is?

Thanks

It's the 10.25.

The Dana 80 is 10-lug and would be an f-superduty truck.

Buy a 5gal bucket of gear lube and a bucket pump. You'll thank me later.

I see 75/140 is recommended, dang i have plenty of 80/90 and a way to get it in the fill no problem.

I run 80w90 too. I have a D80 in my SD350, a D135 in my SD550, and Sterlings in all the SRW trucks. The 135 gulps down 3 gallons to change. I buy 5 gal pails at Tractor Supply, and a pump from NAPA. Oil's going up, so stock up now.

I’ve used 80-90 in all my rear ends I assumed these were the same……. I know I have 80-90 in my 87 and that’s what the parts book said to use.
