The way it is made with the steel tubes welded to each ring, there are no leaks.
If you cut, flair, and use rubber hose sections, then you have the eventual leak problems.

I have several Mercedes Diesels, and they have a metal barb on each side of the Injector with rubber hose connecting to ea Barb. And they eventually start to get wet and leak. At least it`s easier to swap the hose compared to how the IDI set up is.

since this popped up ill throw my .02 out there...

i dont really care for the plastic caps.
i just dont like plastic crap!
i was fortunate enough to score a set of aluminum caps from @ADV several years ago.
they have been on my truck for the past 6 years.
zero leaks, zero issues.

i have a set of justins return rails on my 63.
after you figure out how to properly install them, they rock!
i have had issues with them random leaking/
its been kind of a weird experience because i would loosen the injector line nuts, wiggle them a bit, and tighten them down.
and they stop leaking.
this may have something to do with having no hood, and i beat this rig to death,
primarily a trail rig.

i have a set of brass caps, but i have not ran them yet.
they are on my back up engine for my ranchero if the current engine ever kicks a bucket.
heres a little idipern for ya
