WMO in 3rd or 4th Gen Cummins

I'm far from an expert, but its not a good idea. Just a little water can destroy injectors and they cost more for 3rd and 4th gen and more to replace. They run higher pressures weaker lifts and hp fuel pumps and the stock filter on 3rd gen 5.9 isn't even up to cummins requirements for the motor in the truck.
I believe some are rated for bio diesel if you look up the astm requirements and test your fuel you may be able to run it without voiding the manufacturer recommendations.
But at 5$ a gallon can justify a beefy repair bill in a short time. Finding a 12v or a idi would be better imo. My .02 for what its worth.

You could safely run a small amount (10-20%) however I dont think it would be worth it. This is the exact reason I just picked up a 92' instead of running it through my 10'.
