I'm actually eliminating the FSV and will have a 3/8 3way ball valve between the front seats. On the WMO tank there will be a filter between the tank and my valve, the returns will go to the WMO tank as to keep a clean diesel tank for shut down. I'll detail it on my future " WMO tow truck" thread. I just really wanted an "alternative to shower heads" thread. I've really appreciated the feedback, who knew galvanized and diesel didn't get along?I've had junk get in my tank selector valve before, switching tanks rapidly was enough to get it unstuck, and hasn't been an issue since.
I did like, WHOA clean the tanks out. The plastic tank had about an inch of hard slime in the bottom and the original steel tank looked great on the outside, but it had a bunch of pin holes from the inside. I got another one from my junkyard friend. It's rusty on the outside, but perfect on the inside. One day ,after the truck's earned it a bit, I'll buy a new tank, but my $50 junkyard tank should give a few years service.Just a thought...
