I'm obviously not making it fuel prices too high too far of a drive. But I really hope somebody makes some YouTube videos of all the idis cruising and maybe a camp walk around with all the hoods open and such then drop the links here I love watching that stuff

You Go girl!! Good planning, spare tires for all vehicles. I'd lay them all flat to keep them from moving around in the bed. Taking a floor jack? Tools? Spare parts? Have a fantastic time. I wish I could be there.

I am in northern WV this weekend but just couldn’t swing the rally. If anyone needs anything message me. FB message is probably best or get ahold of @pafixitman. He knows how to get me. Sorry that I couldn’t make it but wife and I are already starting to think about a bid for next year. Need to do som checking but I’ll be waiting for a “throw your hat in” thread if my initial queries are positive. Miss hanging out with you all.

Oh my God come time me
You or the truck? You didn't get the truck timed before you left? Ahhh, I seem to remember you let all the smoke out of your timing meter somehow. You'll have to explain to me about that. You did make it to the campsite, didn't you? I'm waiting to hear a report.

@Danielle your own truck does not count!

Note to self...do not get distracted by a phone call after replacing faucet and prior to testing for leaks. Many thanks to @laserjock and his brother for assisting, tools and Menards run. 2nd note to self...don’t just think of putting tools in the travel trailer, f’ing do it!

nice and peaceful here. Btw, nothing is level in West Virginia!

I butt timed it, poorly. These hills seemed to have cleaned out all the sludge build up from all the years and miles of bad injectors haha

Show and shine competition of Ford diesel trucks is tonight!

Your butt meter isn't as accurate as it should be? I'd offer to adjust it, the truck of course, but I'm on the wrong coast. Bring it on out here and we can do a job on it.

Are you saying it smoked a bit on the hills? You should have seen mine pulling a trailer over Donner Pass at 9000 feet. Mine is adjusted for sea level.

Will you be entering the Show and Shine? Interesting.

Please be sure to post lots of pictures of this GTG, trucks and the people there. Thanks.

Between 4 adults who aren't big photographers we got a few.

That area is very rich in history, both tragic and dark but also fierce and independent. A lot of big milestones in worker rights, but a lot of horrific years to get there.

These are from a coal mine that Henry Ford owned and looks like he streamlined the coal processing and made it much more profitable. They only have one recorded visit he made there personally but looks like his ideas and changed were very welcome as it made everyone more money.

He bought it when he couldn't get coal in the price and quantity he wanted. And if any of you have visited the museum in Detroit, he was not only very intelligent but also willing to think outside the box and even violently eliminate middle men haha. He was also pretty nuts.

As a resident of NJ, their historians have a lot to say about the moving of Menlo Park hahaha

Almost 1200 miles on the truck. I think I was just at 10k loaded. The way there we took a lot of very mountainous highways and refueled twice, the way home we took another route and only stopped once with rear tank untouched.

Temps creeped up a few times on the super long long long inclines and I found myself in 3rd gear once in a while. The fuel filter light came on a few times as well.

But no leaks or break downs on the truck.

The trailer gave us the most grief. I had tested the lights using another truck, so my parking lights did not work on my truck's plug which I discovered a few hours into the evening trip

About 90% of the way there, I lost trailer brakes. It was hard to notice as I use engine to slow down mostly

Was able to repair the parking lights at the campground (thank you Erica, Joe and of course JoJo!) And a few miles into the return trip I realized one of the trailer brakes locked up. Crawling on pavement in 100 degrees sucked but I couldn't find anything obvious so I cut the power to that brake

That got me some trailer brake at least.

It's time to put the trailer on the lift and start from scratch with wiring and new emergency brake box and lockout as well!

The camper is a 2009 v10 with about 20k miles on it. It behaved like a princess.

One of the go-karts lost a seat belt bolt, but that daughter isn't a fan of it anyway so hers stayed parked after that

Other daughter took to the trails in her go kart like a champ, lots of mud and smiles

Neither loved the main trails but it might be due to their parents confidence level. We will see for next time I guess!

Polaris needed a coolant hose clamp during the big tour day but that went pretty smoothly

Have to use husband's phone to post rest of photos

No real pics from us. Many thanks to @Danielle and her family for putting this together and allowing us to tag along in their UTV.

Left campground yesterday and headed back to Fairmont. Plan was to meet up with @laserjock and family to hit up a truck pull. Mother Nature had a different plan and we rode out thunderstorms in the camper. Pull got canceled. no issues on the final leg back home today. Arrived around 1:30pm.

I don't know where the photo of the show and shine winner and trophy shirt went but here's the photo Steve took. If I find it on one of our phones I'll add it. Erica's shirt is the trophy haha
