Just in case you can't start your freakin truck!
Oh yeah, when you get your off road freak on and you left your tow truck at home!
Yeah, I got one just in case! Kinda freaky huh? I had a friend a few years ago that bought a 75 or 76 and there was a card in the glove box from Ford that said "if you break down call us on our dime" and it had a slot for a dime to be put in. Now someone had taken the dime but that would be the equivalent of today's "OnStar".And just in case you have some freakin old vehicles that like to break down, you what to get your tow freak on, and your one freakin cool cat!
That's a fine collection of stuff. All the stickers are in good shape on my two IDI trucks. But seat belt extenders? Really? I've never heard of such. My tow truck was bought as a cab chassis and was never titled as a tow truck. The title shows that it weighs just a little more than my bronco!Oh yeah, when you get your off road freak on and you left your tow truck at home!
These must be for fat people....Just in case you love a big freakin freak! (Seat belt extenders.)
Here's the build card to my 83 that I've rebuilt into a 84. Was the first diesel Ford ordered from and delivered to the Fairmont mn Ford dealership. I also have one of them seat belt extensions in the cab HahaYou must be registered for see images attach
That's crazy! A old man ordered it as soon as he caught wind that they were making a diesel it was his last truck he ever bought. When he passed away that mans best friends son ended up with it and used it for a farm truck for a couple years and the mice were moving into it and wanted to find a good home for it. I really wish I could find his contact information because he wanted me to send him pictures when I fixed it up. Granted it was a Minnesota truck its whole life the body was showing rust and the interior was completely destroyed from being a farm truck so I flew out to Colorado and drove home a f250 460 c6 2wd to do a body swap. I also put different axles a zf5 a studded turbo 7.3 and other stuff. Heres a couple before and after pictures. I still have the original cab and box and they are in better shape than my 86 idi plow truck so when my plow truck is completely rotted out (only idi I run in the winter) I plan on putting my original 83 body onYou must be registered for see images attach
I didn't realize the significance of it at the time, but when I was 13 I worked for the guy who custom ordered the first powerstroke in the town I lived in. It was a f250 white extended cab, short bed. It had 11miles on it when he picked it up at the train station in Pensacola. I didn't know what he was talking about when he was telling my brother (11yrs older than me) and me about Ford's new diesel, I just remember that it was the cleanest, newest, whitest, truck I'd been around. I still see him around town in it when I go back towards home. That's crazy! A old man ordered it as soon as he caught wind that they were making a diesel it was his last truck he ever bought.
