hate to make another thread but is there a specific socket or wrench to get to the lines on the Inj. pump?
i still have a little more work and delete the filter to pump hard line but noticed some more dampness i just don't know if its from another leak or seepage from vac switch etc on filter head but my lines on the inj. pump all seem oily with diesel... fuel oil can leak and everything seems damp when its seeping..
Thanks everyone

The only one that tends to get leaky is the one in the center, the inlet line, because it has a rubber seal. I have snugged it up a couple times on my f250 to kick the can down the road for replacing the seal.

is that a Olive seal? or a o-ring.. that may be where that dampness is coming from and another air intrusion source

The brass piece that actually screws into the injector pump uses an o-ring seal, but the hard line uses an olive like Cubey said.

Yep, that is the fancy one, and sometimes the best and easiest. But, if you want to buy one from Snap-On, start saving your lunch money. Snap-On is VERY proud of their tools. You might have to mortgage your house, and sell your first-born to afford one of their tools.

Here is one on Amazon. OTC Tools

Pricey dang things, i think they are 5/8".
Don`t know why the one for the 6.9/7.3 is so much, see them for other engines in the $40 on up range.
3/4" for a cummins, $18. what`s up with that?

I have always used a standard 5/8 or 16mm wrench, never had any problems with rounding anything?
