Even the owner operators have customers to answer to. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of the companies they lease to or contract with have policies against things like that.

Also the big trucking companies (SWIFT, Roadway, Yellow, etc.) probably have rules to prevent that now for HR reasons.

But I am old enough to remember seeing them all the time too. Often in the center of the grill to boot.
I'm sure that I was way off on the "1/2" number. It was more as a joke than anything else. You sure used to see that though. A lot of trucks had them on the stacks too. Snap-On calendars are fine everywhere though. They quit making the "good" ones a long time ago.

I had to chime in on mudflaps, I'm really proud of my custom mudflaps I made out of the logo on a XLT tailgate trim..,..... since then I discovered WMO and I'm kinda lax I'm my WMO science so it looks kinda like my truck pooped all over itself.....it's cooler than "sagging" your truck..... maybe. But the flaps that were on my wrecker are pretty sweet, and I have the Century Wrecker flaps that would have came on it new, they were in the tool box as a sound deadening, antirattle material. Nice mudflaps guys, and HEY, KEEP ON TRUCKIN'!!!!
