Traced down wiring issue for instrument panel and running lights, bad headlight switch and blown 33 year old fuse (yep original). Replaced glowplug controller and zd 9's. Had to replace controller 2 years ago (the original was in there still) with Oreillys. Lasted two years. Went to MC controller Have Wes' glow plug harness as well, also replaced 3g alternator (water fried the one I put in 5 years ago) with a great deal reman. Had it tested, was US rebuild and I put Motorcraft brush and reg assembly in it because I wanted to. All like new now, for now. Oh yeah, replaced Skyjacker cartridge to 7100 and new bushings. New front leaf springs from Husky and urathane bushings.

Found these door latch striker bushings on Amazon. The ones on my truck (1989 F350) had long since disintegrated. Nice and quiet now.

I should be picking it up within the next week.
This means I'll be selling my CC, so I'll post it in marketplace.
The old IDI did great though on the highway, it's good rig, and I'll miss it.
It really just came down to me needing a heavier truck with lower gearing and a granny gear. It just didn't make sense to me to change everything on the IDI, when I could just get another one cheaper.

Still have it, gonna cut it in half and make a dump trailer for work. I have to pull the motor yet, but I'll be selling my 3 spare motors cheap and timing meter that I never used once. Probably other stuff too.

Not 100% but from what I have read, basically the Early 99 7.3 is "same" as the OBS PSD, and the Late 99 is the "same" as the 2000-2003 PSD. Remember, Ford made a "99" Model year truck for all most 2 years.. The 99 came out in early 98. The last OBS which was just the F-2/350 was a 97... Ford only made 150, and the 7 lug 250 as a 98......

That is why the questions of what do I need to change to put a SuperDuty 7.3 in an OBS, or vise versa....
