Centrifuge vs Filters.....

Good morning alls...

So this is why I prefer a centrifuge. Over the last 10 years, I've used about every method to get our oil clean. Nothing compares to a single pass so far.

12 hours? That's a single pass? How many gallons is that. I just built a 50 gallon an hour system, maybe I should be running it longer

Single pass but I run it slow. The longer the oil is in the bowl, the cleaner the oil coming out will be. I'm typically not in a hurry. I shoot for 4-5gph flow rate.

I've found success doing about 55 gallons in 8-10 hours. I set up the day before. Start it up in the morning when I know I'll be around all day. Check on it a few times and shut it down after a barrel.

I've ran it thru twice just to see, it will still get some very fine particulates out so slowing it down might be in order. Going to set up a 30 galllon pony barrel this time for a batch run over the 8-10 hours.

I'll try that, fuel here is approximately 8 dollars a gallon, 1.99 a litre.
