Hey y’all. Been looking high and low for ARP250-4204 for a gasket job.

Super open to paying over retail if ya got a set.

Or any other recommendations to get back on the road before march/april.

Good Luck. I have standing orders in at a couple of different places, and they are all on backorder. I ended up getting a set of MAHLE (Clevite) head bolts from Jegs that will have to do for now until the stud kits come in.

I've had to settle for some Mahle parts for my old Benz and have had good luck with all of them.
Knock on wood.
It turns out that they did make some of the OEM stuff. So there's that, fwiw.

FWIW, the same head bolts are $62 at RockAuto.
As far as other parts, I went with a FelPro head gasket set, and drilled it myself for the 6.9 cooling mod. I’ll include a pic to make you jealous. I believe I got one of the last sets of studs that Wes at CDD had several months ago. They were pretty much unobtainable at that point.

beautiful man :) and i’ve decided im gonna just do the gasket job with some bolts now, and install the smaller turbo i’ve been waiting to for a while. i’ll drive her this way for a year or two until gaskets blow again (who knows maybe they won’t) and gonna place the studs order now anyway. then i’ll have em in a couple months and ill just keep ‘em in the garage until the next time i gotta do the gasket!

If you ordered your studs from Wes at CDD after 8/19/21 then you might be right.

I looked back at my email. It was 9/14. I also scored one of the last intake manifold/valley pans too. Napa showed 3 in the whole country when I got mine ordered.

Nice! I was able to find a valley pan gasket through my local Ford stealership. Took a few days to arrive but they got it.

We are waiting on 6.2l-6.5l ARP stud kits as well; both head stud kits and main stud kits....

In the last year We have been burned a couple times by Sellers who show them in stock, and will even let us put them in our cart, pay for them, go through everything, then send a message saying there are back ordered for 8 weeks... Not a very classy method of doing business IMO...

The supply issue is directly with ARP(my brother talked on the phone with ARP themselves and dozen suppliers, looking for dusty boxes still on the shelves ) supposed to be back in stock, but it is still looking dim...

We ended up buying a DSG girdle kit from John Kennedy @ Kennedy Diesel just to have the 6 outer main studs-nuts-washers.... J&J
