It may just be sticking. An additive could cure your problem. This is copied from a post by a member on this forum. I have used automatic transmission fluid or sea foam to do this. It will make a difference in the way it runs.

“Fill your fuel filter with ATF, as full as possible so as to avoid introducing air into the system. Put the fuel filter back on the engine as it normally is. Start the engine, let it run 20-30, maybe as much as 40 seconds, until you hear just a slight change in the sound of the engine, then shut it down for the night and let it sit with the ATF in the IP and the injectors. Next morning start it up and drive it.

ATF will burn every bit as well as diesel. You could run a whole tank of it if you wanted.

When you fill the fuel filter, pour the ATF into the outer ring of holes. That way it will actually be filtered by that filter before it goes on to the IP. The normal route for the diesel is into the filter through those outer holes, and out of the filter through the center hole.”

My RV did that and also had weak idle with the old questionable fuel it had in it. I put in Howes and fresh fuel and it went away. That was 3 years ago.

What it did when I first got it, before fresh fuel and driving it 300 miles:

thats about what mine is doing thanks

It was suggested at the time by someone here that it might be the metering valve sticking. But I never looked into it, since fresh fuel was enough to fix the problem. You may try the ATF thing above, but also get some of this and just take it out for a long drive on the highway to let things flow and move to help free up sticking things:

Mine started doing that a few years ago after I got a tank of bad fuel. I did the ATF in the fuel filter trick and it fixed it.
