Long time lurker here. I have a 7.3 That I am acquiring, and it is non turbo. I also have the opportunity to purchase a banks turbo set up from a 6.9. Is the bolt pattern the same as the 6.9 and 7.3? Will it switch over and be compatible? Do both of these engines have the port to bolt a turbo on or use a block off plate? Thanks in advance.

Surprised no one chimed in, so opposite setup, i'm a 7tree idiot, with sidewinder, going to 6.9 sw, gotta get all the exhaust jewelry hanging off the meat and potatoes part that "y" portion I'm sure is specific to banks is all, Manny's bolt right up to heads so. Happy soot'n

I am not real sure what the question is. If you're asking if a 6.9 will bolt in place of a 7.3, yes it will. As far as the turbo, they all interchange between 6.9 and 7.3 IDIs, but you need either an automatic or manual transmission specific turbo depending on your truck.
There are no block off plates that I am aware of. You need the Y pipe, up pipe, and down pipe from the turbo truck to hook up the exhaust.

The only “block off” that I know of would be the turbo pedestal on the factory turbo that blocks off the port in the intake manifold where the CDR valve would be on an NA motor.

Sorry for being vague. Yes, the interchange ability to 6.9 to 7.3. Thought maybe the 6.9 would be a smaller turbo. So, I was asking the non turbo to a turbo set up. thought maybe the intakes were different. That's why I asked about a block off plate. I get it. Thanks

I bought this with a 7.3 turbo. It is 2wd, the work was done when I bought it. Taking this one out and putting it into my 64 crew. It has low miles. I know the bumper needs to be raised. They had to lift the truck to get the turbo to fit. I am buying another frame 4x4 with turbo and C6 for the crew cab
