Your king pin bearings might be loose or totally out of adjustment. If they are loose you can have the Death Wobble.

I know what it is. On another note. They called back and said I have a loose u joint on the front of the driveshaft and that was vibrating pretty bad as they ran it at the 50mph mark. Does the symptoms I described sound like something that would happen with that?

Only if you were running around in 4x4 with the hubs locked... the front drive system isn't turning much or at all when you're in 2x4 with the hubs unlocked. You can even zip-tie them to stay put to prove it, I've done it myself hunting down an imbalance.

I read that as it's the front u-joint on the rear driveshaft.
Oh I guess I went to fast... yeah loose ujoints can cause a lot of issues. Can't say I've run into one that shook the truck like death wobble but it's possible I suppose.

Weird thing is. I took my neighbor for a ride and he felt the vibration, and said he’d help me replace the u joints. But it didn’t do the wobbly death stuff at 50 and I pushed it to 65 and it didn’t do it again so we are going to replace those tomorrow and see if that helps.

Bouncing is not usually an alignment issue. Are you saying it started after repairs were made at a repair shop? If so, it sounds as if it was something caused during the repairs.

If everything is tight in the front end you need to look at your tires.
+1 on this. Jack one tire up at a time and set a solid object like a cinder block, etc. next to it. Spin the tire by hand and look for it being out of round, or possibly a broken belt in it.

Shocks may be worth replacing as well.
