New here y'all forgive me, all thumbs for a Lil while, but, I ran across this 6.9L supposedly runs fine (no trans) question is: Does $1750 sound a bit extreme even if it's a 6.9? (& not a 7.3 IDI with at MINIMUM Head gasket(s) failure 500psi in all plugs Sept for 7&8 300 ea) and complete fueling replaced anyhoo.. wow, I'm still considering it as I can't part with the close to "Minty" 93 obs x'cab 4" lifted 4x4 (busted stub shaft TTB) T.I.A.

I wouldn't pay $1750 for a 6.9 or 7.3 unless it came running and driving in a whole truck.

They typically sell for 300-700 around here.

Unless you're saying it's a whole truck minus the transmission?

Still sounds high to me but I guess that would depend on what shape everything is in.

Thanks. Option 2 yank/heads (gaskets -studs as it does have sidewinder on her) /fuel delivery gone through, but that's not cheap either. :drunk:

If you're running it turbo I'd find a 7.3 anyway if you're able. Bigger head bolts.

I'd look around more. I've seen a few on Facebook for 200-500 recently. Paying 2k for an engine needing work is crazy and they're definitely overcharging.
