I am looking at getting some gauges to aid in diagnostics as well as just general information id like to have while driving. I am looking at the following kits:

Glowshift 1500F Pyrometer kit
Glowshift 60PSI Boost gauge kit
Glowshift 300F coolant temp kit
Glowshift 100PSI oil pressure kit.

Does anyone have experience with these gauges/kits? Are there any I should add or substitute? The truck is a 1989 F-Super Duty with a 7.3 IDI banks turbo and ZF5 manual transmission. Dana 80 with 5.13 gears (Soon to be 3.55 as I dont use the truck to pull heavy). Any advice would be appreciated and all opinions will be considered.

If you arent pulling heavy then I think you have everything covered right there. A voltage gauge that shows the actual numerical value might be nice.

I didnt even think about that! I will absolutely add one to the amazon cart thank you! I dont pull heavy at all. The truck is my welding rig, at any point I will never have any more than 1200lbs on it. The most I will ever pull on a trailer is about 2000 lbs maximum if I have to supply materials for a job and that is extremely rare and I wont deliver materials any further than 30 miles. I have only had to do that twice ever. Most of my driving is highway at 60 to 70 MPH (reason I want 3.55 gears) with just my welder/generator and tools.

You know people have had bad experiences with them but I’ve had mine for 3 years and they’re great. They survived my freshman year wiring skills so.

The boost gauge you listed is way to high boost. I have the 20 psi one. If you are running stock, 6 psi or so would only be a tiny blip on the 60 psi one, even 10-15 psi isn't much sweep at all.

I don't have the glowshift pyro, but have the other 3. They work well for 6 months so far.

I like my glow shift gauges. The quality seems good, and I like the sending units. I also really like the way they look at night, much easier on the eyes than the typical aftermarket gauges that light up the whole face. I went with a combo boost, pyro, coolant temp and separate oil pressure and voltmeter.

the ISSPRO is absolutely disgustingly priced at $230 just for the gauge alone then even more for the sensor and harness. That is absolutely out of my budget. I will risk it with the Glowshift and even if I have to replace one im still saving money. TNBrett I like that setup, I may steal that idea although I will have to move it a little since I have a shifter right there.

I started out running the Glowshift Max Tow gauges (boost, pyrometer, coolant temp). Switched all of them over to Isspro. My pyrometer ,I suspected, was reading to low. I feel this is a huge problem , especially if towing. Maybe bad sensor unit ,I dont know. I did not want to take a chance and replaced just the pyrometer. Right away the components seemed of much higher quality. Installed the new gauge and found the readings to be more what you would expect. I realize the Glowshift are reasonably priced, which is why I went that direction, but I was not willing to gamble with my freshly rebuilt motor. It seems with gauges you typically get what you pay for. Eventually I replaced the rest to Isspro.

I may go this rout since I dont tow. I may just get the gauges now and slowly replace them one at a time later on with better ones.

I am running Banks Dynafact gauges that I picked up used for real cheap out of an old wrecked dodge. If you can find some used ones in good shape, they are likely to be superior to new glowshift gauges. I agree though, the pyrometer gauge is very expensive. I had a probe made by someone who I thought was on here but I cant remember.
