It certainly looks like you live in what I would consider to be a "normal" part of California. More open country and no big city craziness.
Well actually we live right outside of Sacramento. My family has lots of property but my parents and I live in town. So we get to see the craziness too haha

Today was fairly productive. The first thing that I did was to clean out and rearrange the things in my storage shed and gained a lot of room. Then it was lunch time so I built a fire on the ground and cooked some brats. Next it was on to the tires on the Blue Truck (and the tire dismounting thread). I took the HT tires off of the back of the blue Truck and put the proper A/T tires in their place. I sure was glad that I decided to clean out the storage shed because I found a couple of IDI related goodies that I forgot that I had. I found a FSV from a 1984 F250 and I also found a relocated 7.3 glow plug controller that came with the engine that's now in my Blue Truck. It looks to still have most, if not all, of the engine wiring harness still attached. The engine had a first gen Banks on it when I got it so that's where the relocation bracket came from. As I was cleaning up to leave, I spotted a huge owl sitting on a hay bale out in the field behind my garage. It wasn't really as dark as the picture looks, but it was cloudy, a long way off, and my camera is 2004 or earlier technology.

Pulled the leaking radiator. Looks like original hoses. Hose clamps were stapled to the hoses. Plan on re-coring it.

I cheated on the lower hose and sawzalled it. The upper was easy after I backed the clamp all the way off. Pulled the clamp out of the staples and the hose pulled off pretty easy.

I picked up another project today. It's way down at the bottom of the list, so it's just going in the barn for now, but it'll be a cool little project whenever I get around to it. Couldn't turn it down for the price.

I paid $100 for it. It's literally going to be a spare parts build, think gambler 500 meets mad max.

As tempting as that is.... The IDI would take some major cutting to fit.

Tentative plans are TBI Small block Chevy and a sterling 10.25 rear. Mainly because I already have those parts but also, I can use the VSS from the sterling to run a speedo, probably could use a cluster from a 92+ truck....

I'm thinking 33s on the back and 31s up front maybe?

Need to get a few other things done first and then I have to get a tube bender so I can do bumpers and a cage!
