The guy who bought it, runs a sawmill and does some logging, so he is going to use it to tow a gooseneck loaded with logs. I am glad it is going to someone who will use it, and we are both happy, so it turned out good. He will be coming to pick it up in a week or so, whenever the weather gets better. I am gonna miss the truck, but I am looking forward to getting a CC dually in the near future :peelout.

I also picked up some group 65s from walmart and a solenoid for my fuse block, both went in the f250 and she fired right up:Thumbs Up

Being that my tailgate is not the original, I painted it flat black just to match a little better than the red it was. While I was as it, I welded on a 1/2" plate for the trailer safety chains, to replace the rube goldburg setup that was there( two pieces of bent 3/8" round stock that looked like two candy canes sticking out of the hitch-cuss). I then painted the hitch and receiver the same flat black (it was on sale) lol

You know you can only tow one trailer at a time, right?! :D ;Poke

Glad Beagle Pup is gonna find some work to do, though I still think that thing is pretty BA.

Well, technically this isn’t truck related, but it’s a diesel, and I used my truck to pick it up, so I’m going to post about itLOL yesterday I got a 90’s Ford 4230 tractor. It’s a non turbo, but man it has a lot of power! And a 12 spd trannyLOL

If you work at it, you can tow doubles lol.:bail:peelout;Sweet.
Yeah, I really love the truck too, and it has a ton of character, but I am glad it will be put to use as well. For the amount I use it, the $600 registration wasn't worth it. I didn't even have it on the road (legally anyway) since I owned it, so I don't even know how much the insurance would be. I just ran farm tags on it to run hay and straw up and down the road. If it wasn't for that and all the added pricing of up keep, I probably would have kept it. A 1 ton is just more practical in every way for me, so I had to move on.

Well a far cry from what you got and I'm pretty jealous, but on that note I finally grabbed my Kubota diesel that will hopefully end up in my LoBoy. Drove out to my buddy's place and dragged it through the mud and into the truck. Seems like it's not turning over fully so I'm going to pull the glow plugs and soak it down with ATF or MMO or something, then pull the valve covers and check the valvetrain before I put a wrench on the crank.

It's an IDI LOL

If anyone knows much about these feel free to shoot me a PM. I'm going to order an eBay service manual but there's not a lot of information on this particular engine. Came from a Generator.

I am sorely tempted to put a turbo on it. It would be really really really easy to do........., but it already has almost 100 horsepower for its little self. It really is a beast. I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets turbo before the year is up though

Good luck man! Keep us posted on the build! Mine is a 3.6 liter inline 4 cylinder. Purrs like a kitten. I need to be careful.......I’m only 17 and already have 3 trailers, 2 diesels, and a bunch of other random equipment :joker:

Got overly greasy with a drw to srw dana 60 hub swap. All new bearings and seals, removed the rotted disc cover. Threw in some Yukon lockouts too. I like them much better than the factory fords, or the warn premiums thats for sure.

Just finished installing a gauge set in my truck today. The hardest part was getting the oil pressure line hooked up to the block. The square top on the plug was like 9/32, it was in a tight spot and I didn’t have a socket that fit. It is nice to know the actual numbers and not be wondering if the dash gauges are just making stuff up.

If you want to get fancy, there is a seller on eBay that has new emission stickers, make the valve covers look brand new!
