Think have that covered or is 4500w overkill.
:joker:

Yep, my RV has one of these 4.0KW BGE generators, but for some reason it keeps dumping gas into the oil. They put in a gasoline one with a separate gasoline tank and fuel gauge for it, rather than putting in a propane powered one, which did exist in the Emerald 1 line.

What’s a cowl seal? Also, I searched 38 gallon tank in the forums (that’s what led me here) to see if I can find any information on getting a bed mounted spare tire after installing the 38. Any recommendations?

i think I have the spare tire mount your talking about... I’ll try and get you a picture in the morning

Under any circumstance, don’t run the N/A? Come on man there’s some nostalgic about driving a big tractor on the highway! When I’m doing 50 up a hill I can safely grab my spitter and change the track on my hank Williams song without worrying I’ve drifted too far

I’ll send you a DM tomorrow if it’s what your looking for you can have it I’m putting a flat bed on my truck so I’m not going to use it.
Please do amigo, after I got stimulated I’m trying to swap over to that 38 gallon rear tank and I’d like put the spare in my bed. I have to travel across the country next year so I’d like to keep my spare in the bed. Does your setup have a locking mechanism?

Don't take it to a shop that isn't known for dealing with these old beasts! Told my buddy I think he has a bad injector and instead of coming by my house(20 min drive) he took it to ford (1 hour drive) and the ****** there came out with a obd2 scanner and wasted half an hour looking for somewhere to plug it in on a 92 f350 idi. Claimed he was the head tech and he knew there was one on it somewhere or it wouldn't have run long enough to get it were it was. Then charged him 609 bucks to replace the one injector after claiming he found the obd2 and that's how he knew which one to replace with a bs Delphi injector and now it sounds even worse and took two days to "fix it". My buddy threatened to toss thermite at the truck till I educated him some on the truck and now he has a used set of bb code injectors and the thing sounds great! But ford knows best....

Time I do mine!

Do’s

1. Change and monitor your coolant often. ONLY use coolant with SCA’s or DCA’s or good diesel specific ELC.

2. Check and change your oil often.

3. Manual bypass glow plug controller

4. 3g 130 amp alternator swap

5. Only use zd9 motorcraft gp’s (7.3)

6. Use and maintain a good quality starter and batteries.

7. Fix your gp’s and USE THEM TO START (novel concept, i know.)

8. Wait to start...... then wait some more...

9. Use good fuel additive. Anti gel additive in the winter is a must if you live below freezing.

10. Enjoy going slower than everyone else :)

11. Work on your own rig, thats the best part about these engines: they’re simple and easy to work on.

12. Use psd fl1995 oil filter (it’ll fit don’t worry about it ;) )

13. Use the block heater on a timer.

14. Stomp the gas to the floor when cold starting.

15. Get a 12v socket voltmeter to monitor batteries, charge and gp draw.

Don’ts

1. Crank engine over without gp’s for literally ever! No one likes your 10min idi cold start lubetube video of you murdering your starter! Just sayin...

2. Use ether... just don’t... plz refer to Do’s #7 and 8, and Don’t #1 ;) ....

3. Roll coal... no one thinks you’re cool (sry not sry)

4. Don’t ride the rev limiter...

5. Don’t take your old pos to the stealership... they can’t help you...

6. Call your idi a powerstroke...... smh [emoji2357]

7. Rev the bajesus out of your cold motor... (let it warm up for God’s sake, you animal!)

8. Don’t leave that mystery oil and coolant in your rig...

4. Don’t hit the rev limiter under load on your NA stock idi... spoiler, you’ll throw a rod or drop a valve quicker than you can say “go baby, go!”
I have to wonder why you say this? What is the difference between loaded and empty? Is it ok if you put a turbo on your N/A engine? Is it ok to do this with a Factory Turbo engine?

I was wondering the same. I would say most of the guys that tow heavy with them run 'em against the rev limiter going up hill, so it can't be that bad for them as long as they don't get too hot.
