Where can I find a throttle housing spring replacement?

I would like to replace the single, and double springs.

I’m not sure if they sell new ones anymore. My throttle return spring broke a long time ago. I went to autozone and got one of those universal kits for a carburetor. Man I never realized how stiff these springs are!! It feels super nice now. Maybe that’s worth a try?

When I had my RV's timing done, the mechanic accidentally somehow lost the C6 kickdown return spring up by the IP. He put in a similar sized carb spring, works fine. Of course that spring isn't super strong for that linkage.

Mine was broken when I bought the truck. I, too couldn't find a correct replacement. When I googled '1994 F250 Diesel Throttle Spring' Napa part number NOE 7321113 showed up. In their website, it says it doesn't fit the truck, but after not being able to find anything in the yards or online I bought it. It does fit and works ok so far, but seems a little weaker than the factory one was. So I guess that's an option if you can't find the right one.

I went the other way. While I was working on these for a living, I got so used to the stiffer throttles in all of the trucks that I drove, I actually began to like a stiffer pedal. Now, I put a stiffer spring on my gassers with a carb. Of course, I have to be careful when I drive something newer with a light (or no) throttle return spring. I have a tendency to try to bounce my head off of the back of the seat when I first take off.

Maybe the "doesn't fit truck" part was talking a later one with a PSD?

Fitment isn't always correct. The Dana 70 axle vent bolt that also holds down the rear brake hose won't come up at all for 85 E350. I had to buy a "doesn't fit" one that does, in fact, fit. I think the 87 F250 "fits" one was correct.
