Dude, you're not kidding. I have a friend around here (more of an acquaintance really....) He was selling his. Said inquire for price.....

6.0 Auto. 2004? F250 4wd. Box is pretty shot, wheel wells are gone, floor is pretty rough. Cab corners could use some work. Reasonably solid for a WORK truck, but dude was asking $8,000 and it already has 470,000 MILES! Yes, it's been studded and EGR deleted but still..... It's FAR from mint.

Some people have the mindset to put the price way too high in case some idiot comes along and pays it. Prices can always go down but never up.

That scrap condition rare Honda scooter I got ridable again was listed at $250 but the guy took $100 for it. (All it was worth to be honest, the motor was done for). It cost me $600-700 in parts (including replacement engine and tires/tubes) but they are worth $900-1500 in running condition so in it's still rough but now running condition, I have in it what it's value is.

Plus a lot of buyers expect you to sell for half of the listed priced. If you try to list a $4000 truck for $4000, many people will want to pay $2000 and scoff at your price when you explain that's what it's actually worth. If you list the same truck for $8000, the dummies will feel like they are getting a deal for $4000.

Not everyone is like that, but it seems a lot of people are.

My theory on this is when they try to low ball me, I raise the price on them. I set prices very fair in the first place so I don't do bargaining.

I didn't realize that the PSD didn't have an automatic in '94. Either way, I'd still drive it.:Thumbs Up

@Farmer Rock it looks good and it has a turbo so i think the price is pretty spot on but my question is why does he want to sell it if it has a freshly rebuilt turbo and a fresh inspection i think that is a 085 turbo kit, could be wrong, but it might not drive that well depending on when it builds boost. i think the truck may be hiding some problems but thats just my opinion
