Yeah there's a big nor'easter. Of course here in Ohio we just pick up the tail end of all that and it accumulates to ******-squat.

From what little I've seen about it, it's supposed to be a real nasty storm too.
Yup,we got about 8 inches already, and they are calling for 12"-18" by the morning.A lot of sleet and hail as well.I have been plowing and shoveling for the better part of the day.I live on the highest hill in this area,I believe the county, and it magnifies the weather x10.It's usually a 15 degree drop of wind chill.

We have maybe 2" so far. Last I heard we're only supposed to get 2-3 in my area. We'll see when it's all done. About 45min south of me was calling for the 12-18. I'm in the Finger lakes region (between Seneca and Cayuga) and that seems to mess with the snow. Most of it is either north or south of us.

I decided to finally splurge and buy some sand bags for Diego. Didn't have much trouble last year but I figure it's worth the cost just in case. I've got some steel plate I've been using for winter weight but honestly... I just didn't feel like picking it up and putting it in the truck. They're probably about 150# each so... no LOL

Plus if you hit the ice patch you can always spread the sand out to get out of a jam...the steel won't help in that regard. :D

I sure can't blame you for that. The few times that I've put weight in the back of my trucks for snow purposes, I've just used firewood. I have it on hand and when I don't need it any more, it just goes back onto the stack.

Ok I have one for you guys:
Here in Western WA it doesn't snow a lot and when it does it rarely lasts a week, sometimes a month. So my buddy's step dad would just pack as much snow as he could into his little 2wd Ranger and would have all the weight he could ask for, and never has to unload it. Just let's it melt off! I always liked that thinking. Wouldn't work everywhere or let you use the bed.

Yep. I've heard of people doing the same thing here, but it was several years ago. There hasn't been that much snowfall in this century so I've only needed the weight for a couple of days at a time. There was a guy here where I live who used to talk about being stuck in town and not being able to leave for three days due to the snow drifting across the highway. he moved to the area back in the 1990's.

I feel like I'd be weighted till June if I did that
You're probably right on that one.
