I'm beginning to understand why people hate this transmission. It's not the transmission, it's all the stupid sensors it runs off of.
Here's the scene: 93 f250, replaced shift solenoid, get the truck out onto the street and she shifts better than ever, right up to 55mph and then just holds. No shift into overdrive. If I mess around with the throttle I can get it to shift into overdrive. Pushing the button does nothing but it lights up when pressed. Already confirmed with the shop it's the correct solenoid confirmed via pics. New mercon V fluid at right level. No adjustment to fipl prior to this issue but readjusted it just the same to 1.58 and 4.0 respectively, no change. Fipl is 6 months old. MLPS about 9 months old, confirmed it is adjusted correctly. Also when I I'm driving pressing the od light does nothing. So I ripped the steering column apart and cheched the button wires from the button all the way to the plug and didn't see any breaks.
Anyone have any ideas? This truck is driving me nuts
