No, of course I'll fix her. Just frustrating since this truck is bleeding me dry, financially and literally

Though you were going to start your own form of what that cadillac farm is off some roadside. :joker:

not a thing. Bout a month ago I found several sleeves leaking oil at the top as I heated them up looking for cracks. You put a flame on any cracked metal and it glows bright orange because of the sharp crack. Some sleeves have slipped down as much as 12 thousands in the bore too. The shop put the sleeves in the refrigerator freezer thinking that was going to shrink them enough for install. Then they pounded them in. Its all wrong but lasted 15 years and many miles.Best way to install ANY sleeve is soap them in liquid nitrogen till they stop boiling. Then they fall in. Then use some 3/4 inch all thread and two strong backs to hold the sleeve from the top n bottom. When metal normalizes to another metal not as cold as it they will walk.So you must hold them where you want them. So new DARTON flange sleeves are going in.

so today i installed my filter head with a fuel heater delete plug and a new filter and i installed a soft feed line from Wes. i cannot lie to you guys i am ******* disappointed with the feed line. i paid $45 for it plus $13 shipping ($58 total) i installed it correctly and everything is tight. it leaks out of the fitting going into the IP.

if anyone has a link for how to build a soft feed line let me know

Have you tried russrepair or R&D diesels kits?

Does it still need an o-ring to seal to the IP? Did you try to get a hold of Wes to see what he says?

@Exhumis no i havent tried russrepair, R&D doesnt have feed lines on the website. it seems that the fitting that is leaking is missing an O ring so atleast i know i did not do it wrong.

What made me think of this is that the factory fittings use an o-ring to seal. You may be able to reuse the factory one off of your old fitting.

Is it the main fitting that screws into the IP? That’s an o-ring boss so it needs an o ring. Probably just a simple mistake.

so i talked with Wes and i installed it wrong, to be fair there is no instructions or a diagram. tomorrow i will fix my mistake and see what happens. i am confident that once it is in correctly it will work great because alot of you guys have had success with the parts he sells

the only way you learn it is by doing it, and sometimes you make mistakes
