Friday Diego passed safety inspection so I went out and bought oil for the oil change that's due. I'll change that out as soon as I remember to get more sealing washers for the drain plug, I keep forgetting about that!

Replaced various and sundry connectors starting with this manky headlight switch connector that was way past retirement.

Headlight relay mod is your friend here if you haven’t done it yet. Takes the load off the switch.

I'll agree with this one. I'll add that it's so very simple to install if you buy a premade kit. If you choose to build your own, then that adds to the difficulty. If you've already installed a premade kit before, it should take 30 minutes or less to install another one.

Went to the pick and pull Saturday. Snagged a new(er) rear view mirror and grabbed the pull handles out of a Mitsubishi Montero. Need to figure out some mounting options to assist the height challenged. Really went to look at running board options. The pics on the web indicated they had a bunch. Reality is they place the cars on stacked rims using the rocker panels. Crushing the boards on virtually every SUV or truck I looked at. Son was excited to find some factory undamaged Ford hubcaps so I got them also. Got home and realized he snagged them from a E150.... Oh well.

Also installed my harbor freight ladder rack. Hated to do it but job change requires it. What a freakin cluster that thing is to assemble. Used the clamp mount so it can get removed when we are able to invest in a cargo van.

Ford finally discovered the relay in the new century.... lol

The SuperDuty (Marketing name, not the F-SuperDuty) trucks and the 150’s have relays for the headlights now, one for the low beams, and one for the high beams.... there is a huge difference in the light output, and no mealty switch anymore...

Also, if the truck has a towing package, the truck lights and trailer lights are on a completely different circuit. You can short out a trailer, and not take out the truck lights....... BTDT....

Oh, and on a side note.... once you get into the trucks that don’t have the old ATC “spade” style fuses... be careful.... the FMX Low Profile Cartridge Fuses are $5_ each.......

Thanks man. I’ve put a lot of work into it, mostly just cleaning. I rescued it from a farm. They were good on maintenance but short on cleaning. I’m probably going to sell it so if you’re close to VA let me know.

The kits are easy. Drop truck at your house with a 12 pack of Sam Adams Octoberfest!

I know I need to. Sadly with my change of jobs time is precious at the moment. I also lose a work computer and daytime internet!

I'm all the way in MN. not too many clean ones left. probably a bit out of my price range, but I'd love to hear what you're asking when you're ready.

Today I tested the coolant in my trucks to be sure they are ready for winter, and added some anti-gell in the tanks.I also added some STP fuel treatment.I don't know if you guys have an Ollie's discount store around you,but if you do,you better run over and pick up some anti-gell for 1.99 a quart.I bought ten, along with the STP for 5.00 a quart.
