Not sure how much you can see, but as you said, it starts on the drivers side frame rail, under the engine, and up the passenger side crossmemer. Here you can see it from the front, and as well as from the underside.

Here's the underside, it's the hardline that runs across the crossmember, under the engine.

And here it is where it goes from hardline to soft line, and into the fuel pump. The soft line is the curled one on the bottom left of the photo, on the crossmember.

Lipstickification of the swine continues with cut/polish/wax job and painting of panels. Not bad for an old farm truck

No turning back now. My buddy failed to show up to help lift the hood off so I took the springs off and propped it open as high as it would go. I left the core support in place, reason being is I still have a fully functional R12 ac system but no longer have a R12 recycling machine. I pulled the transmission and transfer case as well since the t case has been leaking between the two case halves for years so it's time to fix that as well. Now the fun begins, time to tear the engine down.

@Randy Bush cast and sheet aluminum was 25 cents per pound, and irony aluminum was 5 cents a pound. the main reason why i went yesterday was that bare bright was up to $2.60 a pound at the yard that i go to and copper prices tend to drop in the winter

I've pulled engines this way except that I never prop the hood open. I use a ratchet strap to hold the hood back. That way I'll never accidentally bump the hood prop and have the hood slam down on my head (which is what probably would happen).

Thanks man that was great and answered my question. I knew it went over the cross member but couldnt tell where it went up and over towards the front. Looks like it sits under the engine and just goes over the passenger side crossmember above where I highlighted in red.

Heads removed and cleaned up, plugs removed for the cooling mod. Number 3 injector was completely caked with soot, I could hardly remove it. I assume because the copper washer wasn't sealing. I also discovered the right side exhaust manifold was cracked.
