I have a 2004 f250 4x4 so about a week ago while turning into my drive way the steering gear box bolts broke so got it fixed. But now when steering or pressing the brake pedal you hear a whining sound. Also the brake pedal is getting hard to press by the day. Truck is on a 6in lift with 37s any help would be greatly appreciated I’m stumped

A whining noise from a power steering usually means 1 of 3 things, air in the oil, a restriction on the suction side of the pump or a worn out pump. I would check the hoses for any wet spots, kinks, or any other damage. Then check if the oil is foaming at all.
