I agree kinda. I like it, but I would have to chop it up and fix the body lines, that would drive me nuts!
Yea the bed is from a different model truck possibly different manufacturer.

More than even the lines (looks don't bother me), the beds wheel wells aren't centered over the axles. And the functionality of that would drive me nuts.
If you tried to run over size tires it would probably rub.

I'd say it's driving me sane!

Ya, I'd say I'm happy with it. I wandered around it for a good 20 minutes to get that shot.

Went out on 80psi all corners, but drove home eventually on 50-55. Gonna go 45-55 tomorrow. At 80 it was undrivable to be brutally honest. At 50-55 it was so much better... damn this is a fine truck -- if I might say so me-self.

Interesting failure this morning. I should mention it was -18... Ran the block toaster for 2 hours, put the key in -- it felt kinda snug turning the barrel -- and... nothing. Over-rotated it a fraction more and the glow plugs lit up. Held it there till the light went out and had to twist firmly to get the starter engaged. But she fired fairly quickly, only the moment I release it shuts off. Clearly I'm gonna be pulling the wheel and cleaning a lot.

I've got a radiant heater on 500 watts in the driver's seat right this second, just to make things go slippety slip. Might get it to drive too, so I can eat my breakfast burritos.

Ignition switch on the steering column may have shifted on you. Or it could simply be worn out and the cold temperature (Celsius, I assume) was enough to make everything stiff enough to notice.

I'm betting the actuator in the column broke, unfortunately a very common problem. Definitely worth checking the ignition switch like David said.

Indeed. Just found a rod that runs down the column, thinking the actual switch must be down there. I'm in a hurry to go tree hunting so I guess I gotta wake up long dormant brain cells from my miscreant days if heat and a can of spray lube doesn't work.

Not sure if this is good news or bad...

Bumping along back roads likely popped the grey plastic part away from the base. Lots of copper in there I'm hoping lines up when I press it back on the snaps. No missing springs neither. Might use some baler wire.

You know, this note 9 is a miserable thing to type with. The AI (artificial incompetence) constantly substitutes the words I write with complete nonsense! Good thing it'll soon be your doctor, or judge eh?

But I've lost me mojo. It's after noon now and my back is killing me. One job I flat refuse is stereo installs, for no amount of money.

Besides, the trees tend to forage higher in the hills as the day goes on. A neighbour owes me, says he's got a big old jug of homemade wine what tastes like fresh dressed moose. Gonna try some. Cheers for the tips peeps.

Well I'm glad it was that simple! Might not be a bad idea to replace that ignition switch when it gets warm again. I prefer to drop the column to do it.

Common enough that I'm done with dealing with it. I'm running a push button for the starter in my trucks. I don't think the actuator will break between the "off" and "run" positions.
Might use some baler wire.
Mine did this in my Blue Truck. I used plastic zip ties to hold mine together just in case there was some bad insulation on a wire. No shorts that way.

I saw other potential issues lurking in/under there -- sticky turn switch, steering lock and the key barrel is quite sloppy and loose. Imma fix that whole situmication up proper, including the cluster, wiring etc. Ran out of zap straps... Reckon another momentary dash switch won't kill me.

I haven't yet made the bracket for the glow plug button so I'll just make it bigger and get a slightly different button. Or look more closely at a floor button... I was also planning a to rig a throttle cable out the nose but could route that into the cab I suppose...
