Darn it. I have a joke to put here in response, but the admins may not appreciate it so I'm going to keep it to myself.

Reflector panel was loose and I didn't want to have it break off since it's still salvageable right now. So I decided to pull the whole trim panel off for the winter and deal with it in the spring. Might be a good thing, there wasn't a whole lot holding it together!

I never liked those panels. Except for the holes they leave in the tailgate. I'd pull them off both of my trucks. I have seen some aftermarket blacked out panels that I would consider in there place.

I personally do like them, just need them to not flop around broken. If it was strictly a work truck, yeah I'd pull it off because you know it'd just get smashed sooner or later.

Well today I swapped the headlights to the backing plates from the old headlights I pulled off Tank a couple years ago. After I got them removed I realized the deer did a little more damage than I previously thought. No matter though...

Chunked off the upper piece the grille mounts to, and if you look closer...

Busted off the tab the adjustment screw goes into. This was the driver's side and the worst of the two. It also had a mounting screw sheared off.

Passenger side only needed a new adjustment screw to be "passable" but I swapped everything over because the mounting ear for the grille was missing from that one too.

Looks like he also messed up my hood release cable. It's usable for now, but I'll have to put it on the list.....

I grabbed some perforated steel from work. I'm really toying with the idea of making a grille out of it. I haven't fully decided yet though.

And now you're starting to understand why i started hunting deer after one took out my 1995 ****** in late January, 1998. It's called revenge! Admittedly though, I think I'm all revenged out. The last time I hunted deer was in 2012 and that was mostly because a guy I knew from Louisiana wanted to come visit and wanted some deer meat. I shot him a young one opening morning and he got to my house the next evening. I tried to shoot another one for him, but didn't manage to get the job done so he took home the one that I'd already shot. He absolutely loved it too.

I enjoy Venison, but never got into hunting. Doesn't help that I can't hit the broad side of a barn with a cannon LOL
