Hey all,

The 7.3 is leaking a lot of oil these days. Best I can tell both of the main seals and the valve covers are leaking. I have to top the truck off every couple weeks it seems. It's a 1991 f250 7.3 with the 093 ats turbo. I am looking to completely reseal the engine, but I'm not seeing any seal kits specifically designed for a truck with this turbo. Will a seal kit for a non turbo 7.3 do the trick? I bought the truck with the turbo on it, so I'm not sure if the valve covers or anything else had to be replaced in order to take the turbo, that would change what kind of seals I need.

Thanks,

Jon

The seals and gaskets on a na 7.3 is the same as a turbo 7.3. Also i believe they are the same as well between the 7.3 and 6.9. The only differences are the head gaskets but the 7.3 turbo head gasket is hard to come across so everyone uses the 7.3 na gasket since they are compatible.

Russ @typ4 from www.RussRepair.com has the only turbo gasket kit I’m aware of. It’s got all the gaskets and seals needed to install the 093 turbo. I think it’s even got the CDR to valve cover rubber too but you should verify that with him.

Technically, you have a 7.3 N/A with an aftermarket ATS 093 turbo kit on it. The gasket kit for the 7.3 N/A will work fine. If you need gaskets for the turbo, they will not be included in any engine gasket kit. Russ (tyo4) would be the best bet on turbo specifics stuff. Or Wes thewespaul at CDD.....
