I have a 1987 F350 with a Sterling Dually in back, it is a narrow axle for a cab&chassis. I need either another whole axle or a set of 4:10 gears from a second generation 10.25 Sterling with the long pinion (and yoke, too).

I know that is a lot to digest, but I am trying to keep the project as simple as possible. My yoke and pinion are flopping around and I am guessing it was driven that way for a while, hauling a trailer full of cattle.

Thanks, that might have to work. I already have the housing, axles and LS diff, just need the gears and yoke. I have a few possibilities that I have to call (to make sure they are not short pinion units), will contact you if they do not pan out.

Geez, it has been over a year. I sent a PM, want to find out if you still have gears and yoke.

Dont know why I thought of this earlier but lucky I checked back. I bet I still have the gears but I know I dont have any yokes. My bronco blew one out this summer and I discovered I didnt have any left.

Okay, I may still be interested in the gears if they are different from the short spline, or are all pinions cut the same, only the yoke splines became longer?

Frank,

I am definitely interested in the gear set whenever you have time to take apart the rear end. I can source long spline yokes around here pretty easily.

I believe that there is a Sterling narrow cab and chassis 4.10 dually rear in a parts truck that I have pulled from on family property but I'm far from you, I'm in Texas.

If anyone is coming to CA from TX or parts east and has space, maybe we can make something happen.
