if you are familiar with cu-ni brake line it is much easier to work with. amazon has the cheapest price and comes with fittings, including the fitting for master cylinder. you can buy a roll of 3/16 and 1/4 inch for what autozone wants for the 3/16. you will need a piece of 1/4 for line from t-fitting on axle to right rear. i will tell you this job is not easy to do with bed on however as access is limited. hope this helps. steve

I'm unfortunately no stranger to changing brake lines, living in the salt belt. There's no pulling the bed off on this one, it's a box van :frustrate just laying on the ground getting rust in your eyes for hours, covered in sweat and brake fluid.... Can you tell I hate brake lines LOL

I ordered a 50' roll of the 3/16 CuNi line on Amazon yesterday for like $38, DIRT cheap. Got a bunch of fittings too, including the odd 7/16 fittings and 1/2 for like $10.

Whatever I don't use on his I can use on mine when I get the frame all cleaned up and painted.

That rust is supposed to stay on there as a rust preventer.

That’s the worst part..... it’s not IF you ever have to replace a line.... it’s WHEN......

Like Danielle’s post a few weeks ago when she was working on that Texas truck and found out that bolts can come out with hand tools and not the Ugg’s-dugga and the torch......

When I bought my dually we replaced the rubber hoses before I drove it home to NY. I couldn't believe it was possible to loosen brake lines without replacing them! Blew my mind!
