So I have a pretty decent oil leak on Diego. It's not really LOOSING much oil, but it's everywhere.i couldn't get any great pictures, but I'm not even sure exactly where to look.

When I pulled the air cleaner there was oil pooled underneath it. The throttle cable was soaked. I was thinking it might be leaking from the CDR but didn't get anything major with the hose off, unless it's long term buildup? Air filter is pretty gross/oily.

My BIGGEST concern is the thick coating of oil on the EXHAUST HOUSING of the turbo. Sounds like asking for a fire. I was going to just order a seal kit, but it's a little pricier than I thought, so I'd like to make sure what the problem actually is before ordering parts.

I do have a couple return caps leaking, so that's not helping, but they're not leaking black sooty oil either.

Crappy cell phone pictures, but can anyone point me in the right direction? It'll be a little while before I can pull the air cleaner off again and dig some more.

Oil feed line looks perfectly dry for what it's worth.

To get oil in the valley I don’t think there’s too many ways. Could be the front pump gear housing. Valve cover. Turbo feed or drain.

What turbo is on it? I am not familiar with how the CDR is done on most turbos because I did my own Frankenstein.

This one is a factory turbo off a 94. I'm pretty sure it drains through the CDR hole, which wouldn't explain the oil up front..... I suppose the IP gear cover could be leaking, I'll have to dig a little more. Honestly hadn't looked at that yet.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's just the CDR passing LOTS of oil....

I tried to clean those holes out when I had the air cleaner off. For what it's worth, there's a drain hole right between those bolts.

That oil on the valve cover came out when I pulled the cold air intake tube off the air cleaner.

So I'm pretty sure I have it figured out.

Would a new CDR help at all? I was under the impression they're basically just a high rpm check valve and I need a catch can for the oil?

I'm going to run a RDT for now until I can figure out what to do for a catch can. I'm kicking myself for not ordering that used Donaldson Spiracle that was $65 on ebay.....

Well I guess we'll see what happens now. Cost me a whopping $4 for the 2ft of hose, everything else I already had.

Looking at probably getting a generic ProVent 200 from eBay. Thinking that should do the trick.

Yeah but that's much better than it ACTUALLY being on fire!
Got pulled over a while back. “Sir, do you know that your vehicle is smoking? Nope, not a clue officer. I guess I should get that looked at.” Made me late that day.
