Well my last twp trips were to the northeast so I decided to go to the northwest today (it was rainy and I couldn't do anything outside anyway). I stopped in to my insurance agent's office to get some insurance put on my Gold Wing. On the way home, I took some dirt roads to check on the crew cab dually that I've been eyeballing for almost 12 years. Yep. Still there. You can just barely see the front end toward the upper left hand side of the picture. Not too bad for taking a picture out of the passenger's side window while turning around and not slowing down. I would have taken the road that shows going along the side of the truck, but since it was rainy, I didn't. There is only gravel for part of the three miles from the highway to this farm.

Nice color scheme! There are quite a few bullnose trucks in my area and I eyeball and wave. Is there not an old Ford/Prestroke head nod thing like waving on a bike? People must think I’m a creep always slowing by their yards and checking things out.

Man that is extremely helpful! I’ll probably do something like that. And I’m sorry your dogs leave so many surprises, the scooper looks heavy :D

Well, I actually did this with my truck yesterday, but I didn’t have time to post anything :joker:
Yesterday after work I picked up 3.5 yards of topsoil for a client in my dump trailer. I didn’t know how much weight it was until I got home and ran the numbers, but it was close to 9500 pounds of dirt. Our trailer is actually only rated to 6000, sooo yeahLOL the trailer weighs around 3000-3500 pounds, so all in all it was about 12,500-13,000 pounds behind my truck. I hit the overload leaf springs for the first time :Thumbs Up The guy who loaded the dirt had a little tiny tractor and could barely get the bucket over the side of the trailer, so almost all the weight was on one side and near the back of the trailer. All I can say is it was a pretty nerve racking 30 miles! The truck did great though! On the flats I was doing 55-58 in 4th gear with 8-10 psi of boost and 850 degrees on the pyro. The grades were a different story though, I had to drop into 3rd and 40-45 mph. The turbo was riding the wastegate at 11.5 psi and the egts were in the 1050-1150 degree range during hard long pulls. Sure made me look forward to ordering a turbo from Wes in a couple weeks! I’m pretty darn happy with how it handled the load overall though. And the truck seems to run better now too. ( which is the usual after a heavy haul for me :joker:)

Did 981 miles in 5 days before Memorial Day hit on a trip up north! Not a single hiccup from the truck, had it completely filled to the brim with stuff for the first time as well.

Needs an oil change and rear brakes now.

Menards has a great deal on rotella T4 ($63/5gal) and diesel Kleen ($13 instead of $20 for big bottle)

That's great! And hey I'm not the only one with a brown pickup! I had the thought the other day of renaming my pickup "Super Doody" since it's brown... I laughed until I cried and my wife didn't think it was funny at all. cookoo

I don't really blame the guy for commuting that ATV thing... they cost $30,000 new he'd better be able to drive 70mph on the freeway! :rotflmao
