Can I swap my Dana 80 5 1.3 with a dana 110s

I have a question on rear differential compatibility. I have 1991 F Super Duty 7.3 2wd with Dana 80 Rear end and 5.13 gears DRW, which is on its last leg and needs a rebuild. I found a used Dana 110s rear end out of a 2005 F 550 2wd DRW on craigslist in good condition for $400. Is a swap possible without major modifications? or should I rebuild the Dana 80 ? Thank you

They will not swap, the Dana 80 won’t be bad to rebuild I would go up to 4.55s while you have it apart.

Thank you for the quick response. This will be the first differential rebuild for me. Do you have any tips or reccommendations on where to aquire a rebuild kit and the 4.55s would mean i wouldnt be hitting 3000rpms at 55 anymore that would be cool

Summit, rock auto, us gear will all have what you need. I would buy a manual on the Dana 80 and do as much research as you can before starting the job.

I don't have a link handy, but I remember that there is at least one Dana 80 manual online. It's a scan of an older manual, so probably just right for us?
