And I tested the solenoid by pulling the wire while they key was on and it clicked every time.
I pulled the glow plugs and only got fuel mist from two cylinders thru the glow plug holes while cranking the engine.

I did everything I could think of to narrow it down to the IP.

The whole upper end is covered with diesel fuel.

First while you have the pump still off, take the top cover off and rotate the metering valve gently with a clean pick, it should move freely with almost no effort. Any drag on it rotating can easily drag on the new valve and it stick shut in the off position and it won’t open to allow fuel flow even with the solenoid clicking. After testing the metering valve check the bottom of the top cover and look for any cracks in the black body of the solenoid from it swelling. If the metering valve is dragging or sticking, fill the IP with the top cover off with atf and install the pump, if the solenoid is cracked you can swap the cover with your other pump and use the new o ring, if you need to get ahold of me shoot me an email like you have in the past or google Classic Diesel Designs and my number comes up, I’d post it here but I’ve noticed that I get slammed with fake calls when I do.

Ok. Problem is I have no idea what the metering valve looks like or anything about the parts inside the pump. And now that it is running I am not about to put that back on again when I don't know what I am doing. I need a running truck yesterday. I can't shut it down until maybe June to test it, do you want me to ship it back so you can check it out?

Sure thing ship it to me and I’ll inspect it and rerun it. Other than the issues getting it started, how does the 6.9 do with the turbo now? If you’re going to use the stock 6.9 pump I would go ahead and max it out to help supply the turbo with enough fuel, the 6.9 pump with the smaller plungers can only put out about 80cc with the fuel screw maxed, so plenty safe if you can keep an eye on the pyro on long grades.

Just got it fully assembled and driveable tonoght. Will take it to work tomorrow, 22 miles one way, 1000 foot drop with minor grades going into town, 1000 foot climb going home.
What address do I send the IP to?
Also, this truck never started so fast as it does now with the new injectors, old IP and 093 turbo. And new batteries. And Neru GP's (Put Nerus in last summer but killed them trying to start with the bad IP.

Address above is where to send it, if you can try and drain as much fluid from the pump as you can before shipping it to avoid it getting into hazmat, I’ll get it much quicker. Let us know how the truck does, pictures you emailed me look great, looks like it belongs there!
