I've got some engine harness repair work to do and the materials I've used in the past haven't lasted as long as I'd hoped.

SO....what wireloom/wrap seems to be able to handle under-hood temps like the OE stuff? Is there a brand or product spec I should look for?

Who has the corrugated loom accessories like "Tees" and "Wyes"?

Besides the corrugated loom, what is the expandable "chinese finger trap" type harness wrap used around the injector pump? Is this available in the aftermarket?

For tape, I remember @laserjock and maybe some others using a product that didn't have adhesive and worked well, I couldn't find it in his multi-thousand post awesome build thread so I was hoping he or someone would remember it.

Also, I've seen referenced a cloth backed tape specifically for this application as well but I can't find it now either. Anyone else remember this or know what I'm talking about?

I've got heat-shrink splices and weatherpack connectors and accessories so I think I'm good there but any other tips and tricks I'm open to hearing. Thanks for anything offered.

Its an oem loom tape for a lot of the european stuff, works really well for rewrapping older harnesses and doesnt goo like electrical tape.

For the expandable loom I use my custom loom from painless in my shop colors, but they offer some really nice over the counter loom products as well https://www.painlessperformance.com/wc/braids

The basic cloth tape I use inside the cab that is similar to stock is just cloth friction tape from any hardware store. But I don’t think it’s under hood temp rated and I only use it to bundle/protect wires that are already insulated. Looks factory when done though, and the adhesive is very minor.

Watching to see what else is out there.

Amazon or eBay has all this stuff. You can get higher temperature loom that is made from a different plastic. It typically has a marking on it. I did wrap in the adhesive free tape. It’s thinner than electrical tap but does a very clean job. A loop of electrical tape at either end and at junctions and you are good to go. I sometimes use a loop here and there in the middle for good measure. Just pull it right to stretch it a bit and it does well.

Not quite yet. In the next week or so I was planning to update this post with the products I’ve chosen and how they’ve worked out. I’m still waiting on the last of the supplies to arrive later this week. I’ll let you know when I do.
