Has anybody coated the interior of their block coolant jacket as added protection against cavitation? There are a number of hard curing sealants that seem like they might help with this problem.
My build project got derailed for a year so I’m having trouble finding some of the products I read about over a year ago. I’ll post references when I get them.

Good question. There are some that can be added to the coolant of a running engine. I would be concerned about these plugging stuff up like stop-leaks.
I’m more interested in ones that are applied to a bare block (since mine is currently torn apart). An engine builder said one he’s used gets mixed with ~1 gal water and poured into the coolant jacket of a block and sloshed around. This is done for X-minutes, the bulk of the liquid is discarded and your interior block walls are coated. Obviously the bottom ports would have to be sealed. and this is my poorly describing what he described to me.

That may not be a good idea if the coating doesn't have a high rate of heat transfer. The coolant may not be able to pull enough heat away from the cylinders and it could cause your truck to run hot under certain conditions.

Absolutely! If it acts as an insulator, it’s out!

That’s basically the way the engine builder described it to me.
There may be other ways too, but I can’t imagine a practical way of spraying an even and complete coat in such a narrow, convoluted and inaccessible area.

The Wasilla area.
I see you’re in Delta Junction!? That is the Hinterlands!
I’m sure most folk think ALL of Alaska is the Hinterlands, but Delta Junction is certifiable!
