Hey guys, going to start rebuilding my main harness today, does anyone have a picture of the factory location where it crosses the radiator support? I think I'm going to tuck the wires but I thought I'd see where is out of the way for everything. Also does anyone know what this thing is? Can I shorten the wires or get rid of it all together? Even better, use it for an accessory outlet? It was mounted on the outside of the radiator support

First one is for the DRL module only OE in Canada.

Second one looks like it could be for the lamp on the hood? Or maybe e4od diagnostic port? I can’t really seem it’s shape or how many wires it has. Does your truck have the factory tow package? If not It may have some extra capped plugs in this area.

Third looks like a low vacuum warning switch. But I can’t figure out what it bolted to. The one on the older trucks was shaped differently.

I know that if you get those three things crossed up, you'll cause a nuclear disaster, the next ice age, and a toilet will swirl backwards in Boise.

So the first one is driving lights? DRL?

The 3rd one has its own bracket, I've got an electric vaccum pump, can I get rid of that thing or does it still serve a purpose?

The second one isn't in the light harness so I'm not sure what it would be. The hood lamp is accounted for though!

Now I could be completely wrong on this one. It appears that there's a cap or cover over the second one. It seems like I've seen it that way in some trucks. I'd leave it for now until the truck is all back together. Then you can see if you can figure out where it goes or if it even need to be attached to anything.

It is capped. I'm pulling the harness apart but I was thinking if it was a factory option I could put in that would be cool or if not, I can change the plug out and use the power for my electric vaccum pump or something

Daytime running lamps. As the other gent said only equipped as such in Canada even though the wiring is there on the US models. If the module was there your headlights would be on any time the truck was running.

I may use that power source for some kind of led driving lamps

Second one looks like the abs diag port that goes next to the obd1 connector above the cruise, if there’s a “Christmas tree” push in on the back of it that’s it for sure. Vacuum switch typically mounts on the lower inner fender well, i would keep it.

Alright I'll keep the switch, just want to clean up as much as possible. I've already powder coated the bracket anyway

So on the vacuum switch... It is used on trucks with a vacuum brake booster to give a brake warning if vacuum is low. If I remember right you are converting to hydoboost. If so the vacuum switch is unnecessary for brake warning but could be left to indicate low vacuum in the hvac system if you wanted.
