I definitely get looks, especially when I take off, the haze of smoke. Everybody here is driving retarded 3 cylinder crap engines, I like to be different, the minimum cylinder number for me is 6, 8 is optimal, 12 is excellent. Forgot to mention it is straight piped, sounds like a freaking train.

That, my friend...is a nice setup. Turbocharged AND intercooled? I'm impressed someone was able to shoe-horn an intercooler behind a 1986 grill so well. I'd like to intercool mine eventually, but not sure how to go about it. Sounds like the previous owner gave that truck all the right things in all the right places.

Do you know if the heads are studded? What transmission does it have?

It was not the previous owner, it was the current owner, me. If you want some pictures how I did it, I will post those. I had to cut the radiator core and move the bottom an inch, modify the radiator mounts but all fitted well, even the latch support is modified and there, no need to cut the grille, tight fit but it is doable. Yes the ac is there also and working flawlessly. The engine is stock, no studs. I believe it was never opened, it was c6, I have put the zf5 in it, single mass flywheel, LUK clutch, hydroboost, 3.55 gearing. I have sourced nice captain chairs with middle console, the correct tan colour corresponding to the xlt package. And I have put old era radio with cassette from a brick nose. Collecting parts, new weather striping on the way, new steering gearbox, new ip and injectors on the way. Saving for better turbo, the banks will go to my humvee project eventually.

That's exactly how I did my intercooler on the '86 crew cab in my signature. Looking at your video, I was thinking to myself.... that's exactly how I intercooled my truck. LOL

Ok, I stand corrected. You said on vacation so I assumed. So this will go under "built, not bought" category:Thumbs Up

I guess I know what kind of intercooler to look for now. I was going to ask if it was 5 speed swapped but I guess you already did that too.
