Hey all,

Wasn't the tach sensor, so I ran a test for the TECA and the results show me that the TECA doesnt work anymore. How do I take it out? The Teca is mostly inside the cab, and there is a little plastic bracket holding it in place. I have the TECA unplugged and that bracket removed, but there are a few things I am not sure of...

Does the TECA pull out into the cab or into the engine compartment? Am i missing any fasteners of any kind? My uncle has a 7.3 idi that was stock automatic and he converted it to a manual, so I hay have a working TECA lined up, I just need to know how to take them out and swap the new one in

Thanks

Iirc, comes out the same way as a pcm on a powerstroke.
So it comes out from under the hood. YouTube 7.3 powerstroke pcm removal.

Did you verify if the TECA was getting power before condemning it?

I didnt, but I couldn't come up with anything else that could possibly be the issue. Swapped a working teca in yesterday and that did it, I got everything back and she shifts now, problem solved
