Hey all,
I have a simple question. It may be a dumb question but here goes.

I just installed a hydra php with full force diesel tunes. My truck is a manual Tranny with a 3” turbo back exhaust and no muffler. That is the extent of the modifications.
Can I run this hydra without gauges if I never tow? Or at least what is the max tune I can run.

What year truck? If stock obs 90cc injectors, you couldn't hurt it if you tried. (Minus crappy tuning)
If using the php tune library, they have everything at a safe limit.

The injectors Are stock. And it is just the canned tunes from full force diesel. Nothing custom and like previously mentioned, only the exhaust has been upgraded.

As mentioned you'd probably be ok, but why risk it?

Stock my OBS pretty much maxes out at 1100 degrees which it can take all day long.

However, mine is an automatic where it will downshift at some point....a manual trans you could end up being in too tall of a gear for the load.

Oh I don’t plan on leaving it right now. I am planning to install an egt sensor in the near future. I just wanted to know if was stupid to run for a while like it is.

Well honestly I’m normally pretty soft footed. But I just wanted the extra oomph for when I take a mind to. Lol. But I’m no teenager.

totaldieselperformance.com has a nice "economy" tune for the hydra chip that sips fuel until you go more than 50% throttle...then it pulls quite nicely. That might be what your looking for aside from the straight off idle tranny killer tunes.
