Has been knocking now a few days. Sounds like a rod bearing but everything I read says injectors. Is this common?

Crack the lines to see which one is bad , then if really want to move to a different cyl to see if the noise follows.

This is the best I could record the noise. Sorry for the quality. 0-60 phone is sitting on the dashboard

Injector body and fuel line will typically be very hot if it is sticking open allowing exhaust gases backing to the injector causing a knock. Can even melt the return line cap.

I've had nothing but excellent results from Conestoga Diesel Injection.

Russ, aka Type4, is also a good source for new injectors, he’s in Oregon, south of Portland.

I’ve got injectors in stock ready to ship classicdieseldesigns.com, no core charge.

Injectors I got from Wes have been hammering away flawlessly for good while now, I highly recommend his injectors.

After I put them in and timed the truck it began starting within the first bump of the starter, he built them right
