Looking to install some gauges on the 94 idit. Does anybody recommend a certain manufacturer and what are the most important things to monitor so I can figure how many gauges to buy. Thanks!

I put an Equus electronic water temp gauge in my F250 and a mechanical one in my RV. They are good budget gauges that come with the right bushing adapter to fit IDIs.

The RV came to me with higher end Isspro boost and EGT gauges that were part of the ATS 085 install back in 1985.

I'd say water temperature and EGT are the most important to add.

Don't forget oil pressure! I use equus on oil pressure and boost guages and auto meter for my egt and water temp. Both brands seem to work great, I would prefer auto meter on all of them but I was broke wen I got the oil and boost guages.

Look into Dakota Digital. Very high quality and reasonable. Have them in mine and are awesome.

center stage we have speedo, tach, pyro on the bottom, coolant temp and oil pressure ontop.

I have an idiot light for charging, when it drops below 13V it will light up.

on the pillar is boost, fuel level, and fuel pressure

Don’t knock Dakota Digital. Definitely worth checking out. They are a small company and great product. Life time warranty. No hassles with any issues. Programmable. I am not a salesman for them but I do know one of the engineers and that helps, but great product.

That’s sweet! Was that cluster hard to install?

In my truck I have glowshift EGT, boost, and fuel psi on the pillar that I need to install. I have water temp and oil psi under the dash and I think those are some auto meters. I chose glowshift because, pretty lights, and they have really good customer service and warranty.

Every one of my gauges are auto meter z series. I have water temp, oil pressure, and diff temp on the pillar. Boost and pyro on the steering column. Fuel pressure and voltage near the wts light. They’ve been pretty good but I’ve noticed some quirks. The oil pressure doesn’t like 15w-40. It moves very slowly if I disturb the line for a few days then works as it should. I tested the gauge with air pressure, hooked a different gauge to the line, and put the gauge on another truck running 10w-30, not sure why disturbing it causes slow needle movement. The water temp is mechanical and on very hot days it will stick at the bottom until 160* then jump up and run as it should. The pyro has done this twice where it won’t cycle through the calibration sweep when I first turn the key so it won’t work unless I cycle the key again. These are all disappointments coming from autometer but over all I’m content.

Autometer or Isspro. Have Autometer's in my F250 that have worked great for close to 15 years now. I recommend oil, water, pyro, voltmeter, and fuel pressure.
